Get the Foundation Right
It’s tempting to skip straight ahead to writing your review as soon as you can. However, you will find it much easier to write a good review if you carefully evaluate the product.
If you jump straight into writing the review, you may well find that you run out of things to say after a few sentences. Then you will either end up with a very short review or spend a lot of time trying to make the review longer.
All of that can be avoided by doing a better evaluation. This won’t take long, but it’s the foundation of everything that follows.
Take Careful Notes
The best way to prepare a good evaluation is to take careful notes as you test the product. You can do this using good old-fashioned pen and paper or an online notepad—that’s up to you.
You may think you’ll be able to remember all the things you notice while testing, but you probably won’t. So take notes as you go, writing down all your thoughts and ideas. Nothing is too small to include—it will all help you later.
At this stage, you don’t need to worry about organizing your notes. The main thing is to record everything for future reference.
